How do I ... find the right photographer?

An interview is a must.  Be sure you trust the person who will be coming to your event.  Is the person you interviewed the actual photographer, or is it a sales person who you will never see again. Be sure to find out what the attitude is, do they love what they do and does it show in their work.   Get references of recent clients.

Where can I find a videographer... ?

Try to find a photographer who can recommend a videographer, or better yet, find a company (ours) that offers combination packages which include both!  Meet with the videographer, or at least get samples of the work and references.

Why are the packages so different?

Different providers have different ways of making their businesses work. They find combinations of products that their clients seem to want.  Many photographers are retailers of albums and frames as well as service providers.  Be sure you know what you are getting, and decide if you could provide some of the extras yourself.

We provide a service, but are willing to find products you need at prices you will like!

Who is the person who will actually come... ?

It is imperative that you meet the actual person who will be attending your event.   Do you feel good about their presentation?  Personality means much!  What will they wear to the event? Will they be prompt? Get the schedule in writing!

What is the purpose of an interview?

To learn what you can expect and find out what the photographer is like.  Get a look at recent examples of what they do, and be sure the prints you see were taken by YOUR photographer. (We are your photographers, Candice and David Talbot)

The photographer also needs to learn what your preferences are, (photo journalistic, or formal) and how you expect your day to go.  Is the photographer willing to do things your way?  We feel the couple should direct our work as far as style goes.  We can do either approach.
